We are a small family run operation in north west Newfoundland. We pride ourselves on the fact that we are the owners, guides and cooks to provide the best possible personalized service to our guests. All of our hunting is done by foot with one guide for each hunter.
Well managed herds of caribou and moose are the primary focus of hunts at Parsons Pond Outfitters, with moose proving to be the most popular over the years. Additionally, black bear can regularly be seen and can be added to the fall hunts if desired.
Island populations are estimated at 120,000 animals and non-resident hunters have access to some of the most remote inland areas to pursue this huge beast.
About 40,000 woodland caribou roam wilderness areas of the island and are available on a limited quote basis to non-resident hunters through outfitter packages.
Approximately 25 percent of our hunters kill fall bear. Most hunters see bear, but we don’t bait during our fall hunts. We continuously hunt bears weighing over 500 pounds.
